Fraser James Blinds Cycle for LOROS
Recently, a few members of our team (Fraser and Jo) were supposed to be doing the Leicester to Skegness bike ride to raise money for LOROS, a charity very close to our hearts. Unfortunately, however, the event was cancelled for the second year running due to the pandemic, but they didn’t want to let that stop them.
Instead of cancelling, Fraser and Jo (and Jo’s brother-in-law, Martin) decided to still do some miles around Leicester in order to raise as much money for LOROS as possible. After cycling 51.5 miles, they managed to raise £1,955 plus £378.75 gift aid – that’s pretty good going if you ask us!
LOROS is a fantastic local charity. Each year, they provide care for over 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, ensuring compassionate support is available to terminally ill patients, as well as their families and carers. We always love helping them out where we can, so we’re very proud of the pair for sticking with it despite the cancellation and raising money for a great cause.
We’ll certainly be keeping you in the loop about more news like this, so stay tuned for more feel-good stories!
